How to Organise Due Dates

I’ll admit that I think I am possibly one of the most organised people I know, always having assignments completed two days before they are due and never missing a due date. This is all down to my time management skills, as well as planning out all of my assignment and exam dates. In this blog post, I’m going to give you some tips on planning this all out and staying organised!

The first thing you should do is buy yourself a calendar with squares big enough to write stuff in. Make sure it’s related to something you love, for example, a television show, or a city. My 2016 calendar is a London one! The first thing I do when a university semester starts is look at the unit guides and then note down all of the due dates on my calendar. After this, I write down “START [insert name of class here] ASSIGNMENT” exactly 2 weeks before the due date.

I like giving myself 2 weeks to complete an assignment as that gives me enough time to plan, create a first draft and then edit it as much as it needs to be before I hand it in. I then use my diary to put in all of the due dates so I never forget when something is due!

Stay tuned for next week when I will go into more detail about how best to complete an assignment!
